Russian spy scandal

Is it just me, or did that spy swap sound a little fishy? What did we get out of the deal, besides our own spies back? Putin gives his fellow spy-types a heroe's welcome, but our own government just wants to get rid of them, instead of punishing them for trying to influence policy and possibly steal state secrets. It seems to me that the White House doesn't seem to take this seriously, as a potential national security risk. Just another reason that I think the Obama administration is soft on terror.
